Terms of Service

1. Agreement
By registering for or using Lameda, you agree to these Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the platform. These terms form a binding contract between you and Lameda Limited.
2. The Service
Lameda provides a chat commerce platform that enables Nigerian merchants to sell products through Telegram and WhatsApp bots. We provide the infrastructure; you are responsible for your products, pricing, customer communications, and fulfilment.
3. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old and be able to enter into a legally binding contract under Nigerian law. By registering, you represent that you meet these requirements and that all information you provide is accurate.
4. Account Responsibilities
- You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials.
- You must not share your account with third parties or use the platform on behalf of others without authorisation.
- You are responsible for all activity conducted through your account and bots.
- You must notify us immediately at hello@lameda.com.ng if you suspect unauthorised access to your account.
5. Acceptable Use
You agree NOT to use Lameda to:
- Sell counterfeit, illegal, or prohibited goods or services under Nigerian law
- Engage in fraud, deception, or misrepresentation to customers
- Send spam or unsolicited messages to customers who have not opted in
- Violate Telegram’s or WhatsApp’s terms of service
- Engage in money laundering or financial crime
- Use the platform in a way that could harm Lameda or other merchants
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms without prior notice.
6. Subscription and Payments
Lameda is offered on a monthly subscription basis starting at ₦5,000/month. Payments are processed by Paystack. Your subscription renews automatically each month unless cancelled before the renewal date. Refunds are not offered for partial billing periods.
We reserve the right to adjust pricing with 30 days’ written notice to your registered email address.
7. Data and Privacy
Your use of customer data collected through the platform is governed by our Privacy Policyand the Nigeria Data Protection Regulation (NDPR). As a merchant, you are a data controller for your customers’ personal data. You must obtain appropriate consent from your customers before collecting their data.
8. Intellectual Property
Lameda and its associated brand, software, and content are the property of Lameda Limited. Your product data, catalogue, and customer relationships remain yours. We grant you a limited, non-exclusive licence to use the platform for your business during your active subscription.
9. Limitation of Liability
Lameda is provided “as is.” To the maximum extent permitted by Nigerian law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the platform, including loss of business, revenue, or data. Our total liability to you shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 3 months preceding the claim.
10. Termination
You may cancel your account at any time from your dashboard. We may suspend or terminate your account for breach of these terms, failure to pay, or where required by law. Upon termination, your bot will stop responding and your data will be retained per our Privacy Policy.
11. Governing Law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. Any disputes will be resolved in the courts of Lagos State, Nigeria.
